Issues

* Do NOT grow weary. "The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have {it}abundantly. (John 10:10, NAS) Our battles with the enemy sometime seem all consuming and distract us from the work at hand. But God has a bigger picture in which we should not grow weary in the midst of trials. This is our greatest hope for purpose in life. Consider the despair of those who do not know the Lord and face the difficulties of each day alone. Be encouraged for the Lord our God is a GREAT God!

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:9-10, KJV)

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. (II Th 3:13, KJV)

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isa 40:28-31, KJV)

* Human Cloning Ban (FRC memo) - reasons to oppose human cloning. (1) Cloning exploits women. Women are the ones who must donate the eggs for cloning. Each woman would be injected with super-ovulating drugs to increase the quantity of eggs she would produce. This places her at higher risk for ovarian cancer and other health hazards, as well as potentially damaging her fertility. Poor women in particular would be induced to sell their eggs to fill this massive demand. The Brownback/Landrieu bill to ban human cloning would protect women against this unnecessary risk and exploitation.
