Luis Contreras-Vidal, Ph.D. holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a concentration
in Atmospheric Physics from the New Mexico Tech. His graduate research focused on measuring high-energy photons produced
by thunderstorms and high-voltage electrical discharges. He currently develops instrumentation for scientific vacuum systems
and laser spectroscopy in private industry. As an outdoor enthusiast, Luis is also a trail runner and climber who enjoys
exploring and protecting New Mexico's landscapes.
